GIGABYTE Introduces a Wood-Styled High-Performance Motherboard
Gigabyte unveils the X870E AERO X3D WOOD, a motherboard that blends natural wood-inspired aesthetics with the robust specifications demanded by premium gaming rigs.
The exterior features a wood-like finish complemented by a leather pull tab. Gigabyte notes that the design responds to the rising popularity of wood-grain themed PC components.
Built on AMD's Socket AM5 platform, the X870E AERO X3D WOOD supports Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 Series CPUs. Power delivery rests on a 16+2+2 phase VRM, and the board includes Gigabyte’s X3D Turbo Mode 2.0 to optimize processor performance.
Memory supports extend to DDR5 at speeds up to 9000 MT/s. Storage options comprise four M.2 slots with PCIe 5.0/4.0 x4 support, while two PCIe 5.0 slots handle graphics cards.
Thermal management features VRM Thermal Armor Advanced with heat pipes, along with M.2 Thermal Guard L and Ext., plus a PCB Thermal Plate. Gigabyte claims this arrangement yields a 14% improvement in cooling efficiency compared with earlier designs.
Connectivity covers dual 5 GbE LAN ports, WiFi 7 with a directional antenna, two USB4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode, and an HDMI output. The motherboard employs an 8-layer back-drilled PCB for enhanced signal integrity.
Installation conveniences include DriverBIOS with preinstalled WiFi drivers, M.2 EZ-Latch for tool-free mounting, WiFi EZ-Plus for easier antenna setup, and M.2 EZ-Flex featuring a flexible baseplate.
The X870E AERO X3D WOOD is now available for purchase.
