Get ready for a tasty treat! A beloved pop-up ramen shop is set to make its permanent mark on New Jersey's culinary scene. But here's where it gets exciting: this shop isn't just opening anywhere; it's launching in Rutherford, New Jersey, and it's going to be a game-changer for ramen lovers.
Tenmomi, a North Jersey ramen shop known for its pop-up locations, is preparing to open its very own dedicated storefront on March 2nd. The new space will be located beneath the Williams Center, offering a revamped menu, 28 seats, and free arcade games. And the best part? It's going to be open more days than its current pop-up hours, giving ramen enthusiasts more opportunities to indulge.
Chef KC Gonzalez, with over 20 years of hospitality experience, founded Tenmomi. He launched the concept as a pop-up shop in Rutherford in 2022 and later operated a takeout-and-delivery location in Nutley for three years. Now, he's taking the brand to the next level with a permanent location.
The new Tenmomi will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., a significant expansion from its current Wednesday through Sunday 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. schedule. Ramen will remain the focal point of the menu, with Chef Gonzalez's signature tonkotsu broth, a pork-style broth that takes about nine days to make.
The expanded menu will also include wings in various styles, Japanese-inspired katsu sando sandwiches, and burgers. Gonzalez is confident in his food, especially the ramen, claiming it's the best in the state.
So, get ready to queue up for your favorite ramen dish at Tenmomi's new permanent location. And don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments below! Do you think Tenmomi's ramen is the best in the state? Or do you have a different opinion?
