Several Singapore Airlines flights connecting New York and Singapore, as well as flights to and from Frankfurt, have been cancelled. The cancellations are a direct result of the winter storm that's blanketing the city and its surroundings.
The affected flights include:
- SQ23: New York (JFK) to Singapore, departing on Dec 26 at 10.05pm local time
- SQ24: Singapore to New York (JFK), scheduled for Dec 26 at 12.10pm local time
- SQ25: New York (JFK) to Frankfurt, with a departure time of 8.15pm on Dec 26
- SQ26: Frankfurt to New York (JFK), set to take off at 8.35am on Dec 26
- SQ21: New York (Newark) to Singapore, scheduled for Dec 27 at 5.45pm local time
- SQ22: Singapore to New York (Newark), departing on Dec 27 at 5.30am local time

The snowstorm is expected to bring heavy snowfall to New York City and Long Island from the afternoon of Dec 26 through Dec 27. The National Weather Service predicts accumulations of up to 20cm before the storm subsides.
Singapore Airlines has issued an advisory on its website, stating that the situation is fluid and ongoing, and other flights may also be impacted. They encourage customers to check the Flight Status page on their website for the most up-to-date information regarding their travel plans.
SIA has assured that they will be reaching out to all affected customers to provide information about the cancellations. Those impacted have the option to be re-accommodated on alternative flights or to seek a full refund for the unused portion of their ticket.
